In the main screen I right-clicked the "Ready" folding slot and clicked "on idle". This turns it to yellow which means on idle. Then I right-clicked again and unchecked "on idle" and then it started downloading the files and started folding! Also note that the power must be on medium and up. That worked in my case but your mileage may vary.
Heroes turning one year old! 投稿者：Terje Pedersen 投稿日：2020/04/05(Sun) 18:23 No.56937
Backgammon Studio Heroes just passed 1 year old and has seen a very strong increase in traffic for the last few weeks. The underlying cause is perhaps not so good but stay safe and play online!
If you are in the market for a safe site for tournament backgammon you will have to look hard for a better site than Heroes!
As opposed to some casual sites heroes saves the match for each game and if a player disconnects or leaves the match. You can resume the match when both players are back online. This also prevents droppers from exploiting the system. Penalties are given to players that doesn't behave eventually leading to banning if they don't clean up their act.
I guess I am no UI expert but I listen to the feedback I get from users and try to improve the server accordingly. Currently the rush of new users has forced me to focus on handling server load and I think it is starting to look good on the server side.
Heroes provides a huge amount of features (some of them you won't find anywhere else):
- Consultation matches with running PR and error highlighting (very educational!) - A truckload of other match formats including tournament matches with no computer feedback - Automated error database - Email match transcripts - A clock! - Quiz yourself on past errors - Replay past matches - Automatic tournaments (general, city limited, country limited) - Save and resume matches - You can see your opponent move checkers backwards and forwards revealing what the opponent is thinking (surprisingly not all sites provide this) - Don't like how it looks? You can change the look in a lot of ways!
